Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using NeighborLink. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using NeighborLink, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines posted within the service. If you do not agree, please do not use NeighborLink.
2. Description of Service
NeighborLink is a neighborhood communication platform operated by H Tech Labs LLC that enables homeowners associations (HOAs) and residential communities to:
- Share announcements and community updates
- Organize events and track RSVPs
- Facilitate discussions among verified community members
- Distribute information via SMS and mobile/web applications
- Manage community documents and resources
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
Eligibility:
- You must be at least 18 years old to use NeighborLink
- You must be a verified resident, homeowner, or authorized representative of a property in the registered neighborhood
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
Account Responsibility:
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. User Conduct and Content
Acceptable Use:
You agree to use NeighborLink only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Share personal information of others without consent
- Use the service for commercial solicitation without authorization
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Scrape, spider, or harvest data from the service
Content Ownership and License:
- You retain ownership of content you post on NeighborLink
- By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content within your neighborhood community
- You represent that you have the right to post any content you share
- We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws
5. Community Guidelines
NeighborLink is intended to foster positive community engagement. We expect all users to:
- Be respectful and courteous to neighbors
- Keep discussions relevant to the community
- Respect privacy and confidentiality
- Report inappropriate content or behavior to administrators
- Follow any additional guidelines established by your HOA or community
6. SMS Text Messaging
By opting in to SMS notifications:
- You consent to receive text messages from your HOA via NeighborLink
- Message frequency varies based on community activity
- You can opt-out at any time by texting STOP or updating your settings
- Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply
- We are not responsible for delays or failures in message delivery

7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
NeighborLink and all related trademarks, logos, and content are the property of H Tech Labs LLC. You may not:
- Use our trademarks without written permission
- Copy, modify, or distribute our software or content
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Create derivative works based on our service
9. Service Availability and Modifications
Availability:
- We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
- We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss
Modifications:
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time
- We may update these Terms periodically
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms
10. Payment and Fees
NeighborLink services are typically paid for by your HOA or community association. Individual residents generally have free access. Contact your HOA administrator for information about community fees.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
- Remove content that violates our policies
- Terminate service to a community for non-payment or policy violations
You may terminate your account at any time through account settings or by contacting your HOA administrator.
12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service "As Is":
NeighborLink is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, H Tech Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content
- Service interruptions or errors
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Actions or content of other users
Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount paid by your community for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless H Tech Labs LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use of NeighborLink
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Content you post or share through the service
14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of NeighborLink shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or arbitration must be brought in the appropriate jurisdiction.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and H Tech Labs LLC regarding the use of NeighborLink.
